Here at the United Methodist Church of New Lenox, we like to make you feel that you are “coming home” to be part of a larger “faith family” when you become a member of our church. There are many opportunities in which to share your time and talents within this ministry and we hope that you will consider becoming active in the life of this church to help “enhance” your feeling of belonging as well as helping you deepen your faith in Christ as you serve others in Christian love.
Please, contact Pastor Jay or Pastor Matthew if you would like to become a member of our church. We offer New Member classes twice a year (once in the spring and again in the fall). It is a great way to get to know others just joining, as well as the history of the Methodist Church and what we believe.
The next 2015 New Member Class will meet with Pastor Jay or Pastor Matthew on four Tuesdays in September and October from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. If you are interested in becoming an active member in a caring Christian community, please contact the Church Office (815/485- 8271) or one of the Pastors. New Members will be received into membership on October 25 at the 9:00 service. Questions may be directed to Membership Chair, Cheryl Bruozas at email@example.com or 708/429-9151. Child care will be provided if needed.
We will be hosting a Meet the Pastors luncheon for prospective new members on Sunday, September 20 at noon in the Rev. William G. Johnson Fellowship Hall. This luncheon is for anyone contemplating about whether or not to join this church family at this time. Lunch is provided by the Membership Committee. If you are not a member and are thinking about becoming a member, please join us. RSVP by contacting the church office at (815) 485-8271 or Cheryl Bruozas, Membership Committee Chair at (708) 429-9151.
Below is a survey of many of the different ministry interests that we have to be involved in. Please, take time to fill out the survey to let us know where your specific interests in ministry lie, as well as what you would like to become involved in in the life of this church. We would love to have you fulfill your desire to serve the church in any way you feel comfortable.
